Bicycle or scooters may not be used on school property. If your child is not using them as a means of transportation, or as part of an extra-curricular activity, there is really no reason to bring them to school. On IIT property, students must walk their bicycles and carry the other “wheels”. This is for the safety of the pedestrians as well as the “riders”. Parents are encouraged to discuss safety with their children and ensure that locks are provided so that bicycles may be locked to the bicycle racks. Children riding bicycles should be properly equipped with helmets.
