Fire drills are held six times a year and lockdown drills are held twice a year as a precautionary measure. During fire drills, students are expected to line up quietly, wear footwear at all times, exit the building quickly and remain silent while their teacher takes attendance. During a lockdown drill, students are instructed to sit quietly away from the locked classroom door with the teacher until the drill is complete. In the event of a real emergency, the school takes direction from the police.
