Head Lice

IIT Academy follows the TDSB policy in this regard:

1. Students with head lice are not permitted to attend the school.
2. If a parent finds head lice they are to inform the homeroom teacher and principal immediately and await the next advised steps from the school and medical professionals. The child is to remain at home.
3. If a staff member notices head lice, parents will be notified and asked to take immediate action to treat it. Parents of children in the class will also be notified of a case and asked to monitor their child.
4. Parents are required to keep the child at home until the problem is cleared.
5. The school may conduct monthly checks to ensure the school is lice free.
